About this event
Join the League of Women Voters - Irving for a Powerful Luncheon & Panel Discussion!
Susan B. Anthony was a fearless leader in the women’s suffrage movement who dedicated her life to securing equal rights for women, especially the right to vote. Through speeches, organizing, and civil disobedience—including her famous act of voting illegally in 1872—she helped pave the way for generations of women to participate fully in American democracy.
On Saturday, Feb. 21, the League of Women Voters in Irving will honor her legacy and bring awareness to the importance of voting often and recognizing outside influence in local elections, including the impact of dark money.
Hear from a distinguished panel of experts — Emily Eby French, Matthew Wilson, and Bud Kennedy — as they unpack how undisclosed funding shapes campaigns, policy, and civic trust. The discussion will be moderated by award-winning journalist Jason Whitely.
